With deep gratitude WhyHunger gives special thanks to Yoko Ono Lennon for playing a vital role in our Hungerthon tradition. Seventeen years ago, Mrs. Lennon generously allowed WhyHunger to use Imagine There’s No Hunger, along with John Lennon’s self-portrait and signature, as our Hungerthon theme and logo. Since 2008, WhyHunger has joined forces with Hard Rock International to create IMAGINE THERE’S NO HUNGER, a global campaign to combat childhood hunger and poverty around the world. With the support of Mrs. Lennon, we have raised more than $3 million dollars to help more than 300,000 hungry children in the United States and around the world.
